– On 27TH & 28TH October 2018, the Faculty of Syariah & Law (FSU) has successfully organized the National level Syariah Mooting Competition. This year competition is the third competition after first organized in 2011 and 2014. This year competition was jointly organized with the Department of Syariah Judiciary Malaysia (JKSM), Institute of Language and Literature (DBP), and Shariah Lawyers Association of Malaysia (PGSM). The competition was participated by students from various universities in the country including from Brunei. Among the participants for this year competition beside FSU, USIM includes students from International Islamic University Malaysia (UIA), National University of Malaysia (UKM), Selangor International Islamic University College (KUIS), Sultan Zainal Abidin University (UNISZA) and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA) (Brunei). The competition was organized in order to enhance student’s ability and capability in dealing with Syariah legal problem as well as improving their mooting skills.
