SUBMISSION OF PAPERS

MANUSCRIPTS SUBMISSION:
Manuscripts may be submitted to the Editor in Chief, Malaysian Journal of Syariah & Law (MJSL), Faculty of Syariah and Law, Islamic Science University of Malaysia, Putra Nilai, 71800, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, Tel:(606)-7988522, Fax: (606)-7988530.
Manuscripts related to civil, syariah or comparative laws are welcome. They can be in the form of articles, case notes, book reviews, legislations articles, reports, comments, etc. Contributions must be original and exclusively submitted to the Malaysian Journal of Syariah & Law. The paper must not have been previously published or submitted elsewhere.

STYLE:
The manuscripts should be typed with 1.5-line spacing on one side of good quality white bond paper using Times New Roman font size 12 and size 10 for footnote. For manuscripts in Arabic, the font should be Traditional Arabic size 16 for the text and size 12 for the footnote.  Submit three hard copies and a soft copy (diskette or e-mail) in any three languages, English, Arabic or Malay. The author should include a business address, telephone number and e-mail address with any forthcoming address changes. Independent referees will vet all articles through ‘double blind review’. If the manuscripts are selected for publication, two (2) hard copies of the manuscripts and a soft copy (Microsoft word) are to be provided by the author.

AIM AND SCOPE STATEMENT:
The Malaysian Journal of Syariah and Law (MJSL) permits the exchange of ideas and information about legal development relating to civil and Syariah law including legal perspective by academicians, practitioners and other scholars.

TITLE PAGE:
The title page should include (i) the title of the article, and (ii) the author’s name and affiliations at the time the manuscript was written. 

ABSTRACT:
An abstract, no longer than 300 words in English language should be included on a separate sheet following the title page.

COPYRIGHTS:
The responsibility to obtain written permission to use any material under copyright rests on the author.
