INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON COMPARATIVE LAW (ISCOM )
The idea of organizing this seminar stemmed from the awareness to bring together academic discussions on the various legal systems which are practiced around the world. By having such a forum, scholars, academicians, practitioners and others in the legal fraternity are able to share views, opinions on the legal systems. Thus ISCOM was geared to achieve its objectives which were :
1. To promote greater understanding of legal systems from the various schools of thought, religion and ideology
2. To identify and appreciate the similarities, differences and interactions of the various legal systems
3. To be a platform for intellectual discussions and dialogues for scholars within and outside the region on the area of comparative law, and to bridge the gaps thus avoiding misconceptions and prejudice among the legal systems.
