On 11TH April 2018, a total number of 35 students of Level 4, Bachelor of Syariah & Laws (SMSU), Faculty of Syariah & Law (FSU), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) had organized an educational visit to the Department of Chemistry (KIMIA Malaysia), Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The visit was made as part of practical exposure for the students who are currently undergoing their undergraduate study for Law of Evidence subject. While in the Department of Chemistry, the students was brought to the Industry and Trade Tariff Classification Section which function among others to give away analysis and advice service to various government agencies in the country, protect government revenue, protect consumer as well as ensuring worker safety in line with all the requirement as stated in the existing legislations in the country namely Customs Act 1967, Palm Oil Board Act 1998, Petroleum (Safety Measures) Act, 1984, Trade Description Act 1972, and Occupational Safety and Health Act, 1994. The visit give exposure to the respective students on the important to ensure the authenticity of all pieces of evidence tendered to support one case in the court of law.
