On 6TH until 8TH March 2017, the Faculty of Syariah & Law (FSU), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) had successful organized the visit from the Malaysian Legal Profession Qualifying Board (LPQB). The visit was organized by the faculty management with the object to obtain the full recognition for the faculty Bachelor of Law & Syariah program (SMUS). Such recognition is very important in order to allow the student who undertake the program to be admitted as Advocates and Solicitors (High Court of Malaya) pursuant to the Legal Profession Act 1976 (Act 166). The visit consist several evaluators from the board specialize in several areas of legal practice in the country. As part of the process to fully recognized the program offered by the faculty, several selected subjects attached to the program have been extensively evaluated in order to ensure that the subjects are in line with the current legal practice and fulfill the demand of the legal industries in the country. This would be the second visit which the faculty received after the first visit way back in 2013. A lot of exchange of knowledge and vital informations have been made due to the visit which is crucial for the faculty development as one of the prestige school of law in the country. It is the hope of the faculty and students alike that the visit would bring fruitful result which is important for the student future legal career and the future of the faculty.
